CNN Anchor Claims FLOTUS Signed Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act Into Law

During yesterday’s edition of CNN Newsroom, anchorette Carol Costello was making remarks on the resistance to federal mandates requiring that students be served healthier food in schools. During her commentary, she claimed First Lady Michelle Obama signed the 2010 Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act into law.

While I’m sure Michelle has more than a little bit of influence when it comes to White House policy, she doesn’t yet have the power to sign bills into law. Mistakes like this are all too common over there in the CNN newsroom, and while I’d normally feel pretty sorry for an anchor who makes a gaffe the size of this one, I can’t bring myself to feel that way this time. CNN doesn’t hide the fact that they’re in the bag for this administration, so you’d think they could - at the very least - get something like who does and doesn’t signs bills into law straight.
