Hey Obama, Kathryn Steinle Matters!
The Washington Examiner’s Barbara Bolton reported on the fireworks that occurred on “The Kelly File” this past week. Megyn Kelly managed to sum up in a few words what I have been feeling about the recent murder of Kathyn Steinle at the hands of Francisco Sanchez, a criminal illegal alien deported multiple times. The following is a portion of Ms. Kelly’s comments toward Richard Fowler, one of her liberal guests.
“Stop that. Stop that. Stop that. Answer my question, please. Give an answer,” said Ms. Kelly as one of her guests said that Ms. Steinle’s death would have been prevented if Republicans had passed comprehensive immigration reform.
“You can’t, because there isn’t one. There’s no excuse for it! He [Obama] picks and chooses the victims he wants to highlight. And apparently, this victim wasn’t deemed worthy,” explained Ms. Kelly.
I know I haven’t been alone in noticing the cricket noises coming from the White House about their lack of response to Kathryn Steinle’s murder. I was so thrilled to hear Megyn Kelly openly chastise President Obama. Bottom line, Obama has been silent on this senseless death because it doesn’t fit his agenda and, dare I say it, because the victim was white.
Mr. Sanchez said that he picked San Francisco as a place to live (albeit illegally) because it is a “Sanctuary City,” and he would not be deported. Why in the world does the United States even have these cities at all anymore? They serve no purpose except to say to all illegal aliens crossing our border, “Come On In - No Deporting Done Here.” I can’t reiterate enough how disgusted I am with this policy and all of the Obama Administration’s policies toward our border security. Doesn’t the safety of American citizens trump an illegal alien’s rights? I think it does.
Kathryn Steinle would be alive today if we had a Congress who was not afraid of its own shadow to do the right thing and protect our borders and our ports. In my opinion, that is the most important thing that the federal government should be doing: protecting its citizens at home and abroad.
Instead, we have a president who is at best an ideologue and at worst a narcissist. We have a Congress who won’t enforce its own laws. We have a government who won’t back up its police and border patrol agents. In other words, we have chaos. And I don’t see it getting better any time soon.
To Kathryn Steinle’s family, my heart goes out to you, and I will keep praying for you now and in the future. You deserved better than this. You deserved to have Kathryn in your lives for many, many decades to come.
To President Obama and your band of left wing radicals, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. Your silence on this issue is deafening, and voters will not forget. 2016 can’t come quickly enough for me.
To Megyn Kelly, thank you for voicing what many Americans have been feeling this week. We appreciate your dedication and your courage to do and say the right thing.
