‘The View’ Hosts Share Their Presidential Sexual Preferences
Did you watch the Democrat Debate in Las Vegas this week? Did you get hot and bothered when Bernie Sanders declared that “the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails” when Hillary was asked about them? Joy Behar was certainly excited by it, and she made sure we all knew it on ‘The View’ the next day.
Ewwww! I did NOT need to know Joy was “aroused” by the “old Jewish guy who is a socialist.” Her declaration is almost as bad as my parents describing how turned on they are by each other to me. I just don’t want to know. But hey, I don’t care to know the personal sexual preferences of any individual.
Why is Joy Behar, an avowed feminist, so turned on by Sanders’ defense of Hillary? Shouldn’t she have been insulted that Bernie jumped in to defend a sister when that sister could have, and should have, done it herself? Isn’t one of the tenets of modern feminism, “we don’t need a man to stand up for us”? Maybe I missed the memo that it’s ok for men to be gentlemen and defend a woman when the evil GOP is attacking one of their own. I should probably work on getting my feminist card back so I don’t miss anymore memos like that.
Behar’s co-host Michelle Collins’ comments regarding Democratic Presidential candidate Martin O’Malley were almost as gross as Joy declaring her arousal. “If I weren’t voting with my head, I think we all know who would be getting my vote,” she declared, while pictures of a shirtless O’Malley were displayed on the screen. Does she feel that way because O’Malley was channeling a little Vladimir Putin in those photos? Or has she just forgotten years of the left encouraging women to vote with their “lady parts” by claiming the GOP had declared a “war on women”?
The entertainment industry and politics have been in bed together for decades. But now, they’re bringing that bed into the public eye by declaring their sexual preferences for candidates. Maybe I’m weird, but I just don’t want to know that Joy Behar or Michelle Collins get excited by candidates seeking the Presidency and might just be voting with their ‘lady parts’ after all. I would prefer they keep those personal thoughts to themselves and stick to discussing the real issues and/or candidate’s statements, much like Whoopi Goldberg touted the candidates for doing during the debate.
Maybe I’m in the minority thinking this is just gross and not productive conversation, though. What do you think of Joy Behar and Michelle Collins declaring their sexual preferences for Presidential Candidates on ‘The View’?
