UPDATED: The Reality of Standing for Truth In Hollywood

When 21-year-old Texas native Sloane Brown first got to Hollywood, her conservative upbringing shed light on many of the truths she was taught as a child. Already outspoken by nature, she learned firsthand the price that will be paid when anyone in Hollywood expresses support for a right-leaning candidate, when she lost over 10,000 Twitter followers in just one day after tweeting her support for Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Undeterred, the reality show star of E!’s new hit show “The Drama Queen” has thrown her support behind something she views as even more important - the issue of life. When she first heard about the Kermit Gosnell case, and the Gosnell film project, her mother Shelby tells me that not a second thought was given. Sloane knew she had to do what she could to help raise the funds for this film to go to production, and this video was her first step.

“Do you know who this guy is?” Brown asks viewers as she holds up an iPad with the picture of Kermit Gosnell on the screen.

“Don’t worry if you don’t recognize him, most people don’t,” she continues. “I want to tell you who he really is.”

“His name is Kermit Gosnell, and he is America’s most prolific serial killer. Over more than thirty years, he’s killed thousands. Kermit Gosnell was an abortion doctor in Philadelphia, and he would deliver live, viable babies. The babies would cry out and wiggle and move their arms and legs and he would murder them by severing their spinal cords with scissors. He went to prison last year for murdering babies. Do you think this is strange that you’ve never heard of him?”

“My friends Ann, Phelim and Magda are going to change that. They’re going to end this censorship. They’re going to make a TV movie about Gosnell and they need your help. They’re on Indiegogo raising funds to make a movie about Gosnell. They’ve raised over one million dollars - half of their budget -  they need your help to raise the rest. So go to GosnellMovie.com and give them $1 or $10,000, it doesn’t matter, but please give what you can. So, go to GosnellMovie.com. Thank you!”

As expected, the response to Sloane’s video from those who wish to inform the public about the Gosnell horror story has been extremely positive. The response from Hollywood, and many in her own community? Complete, utter silence.

The Gosnell case is one that ought to unite those who wish to fight for justice, yet there has been a virtual blackout in the media regarding this case because it sheds light on the reality of abortion and the impact it has on the lives of those it touches. Kermit Gosnell was a butcher of babies, and a killer of a few of the mothers who carried them. Even a simple perusal of the Grand Jury Report is enough to make anyone with a heart physically ill. Yet, the mainstream media decided, even before this case went to trial, that little would be said. Because of that, most Americans know absolutely nothing - or very little - about Kermit Gosnell.

Sloane Brown decided to do her part to change that.

Will you?

UPDATE: As this was being posted, Sloane received word from an agent she’s been in contact with since January - an agent who was extremely interested in Sloane as recently as a week ago. Oddly enough, no messages were left and there was no written communication…only repeated calls until contact was made by an assistant calling to let her know they are no longer interested.

Think there’s not a price to pay for taking a stand for truth? Think again.

Donations to help fund the movie can be made at GosnellMovie.com.

**If you are not familiar with the Gosnell story and would like more detail without having to read the lengthy Grand Jury Report, Glenn Beck spent a great deal of time on his show one day discussing the specifics of the case. See this link.
